Starting as early as age 8, Tom Clarke® bonded with his father by working with him on a muscle car rebuild. What began as an interest in cars, sparked into Tommy's life-long appreciation for beautiful vehicles and the craftsmanship that goes into them. When he bought his first car, a Ford Mustang GT, weeks after his 16 th birthday, his relationship with American muscle cars grew even more. He didn't stop there; Continuous street racing kept his driver's license suspended and then revoked twice in his youth. Then, his love for the Porsche brand took off, with Tommy's first twin turbo in 2001. So, in the end, is it American Muscle or European performance that Tom loves most? Neither, because they each have their own personalities, and Tommy simply loves cars of all types as long as they are rare, special, or one-off cars custom-built to his standards and vision by the best car builders globally.
Tommy and his father continued working on rebuilds, entering them into Concours shows and winning many awards and exposing Tommy to a wide range of vehicles beyond muscle cars. These experiences gave Tommy a valuable understanding of the power a vehicle has when all the work put into it is put on display in exactly the right way; allowing people to see themselves in it, relate to an identity, or see the surrounding scene differently.
It is this idea that created Tommy Cars, LLC. The idea that a car collection could do for clients and their audiences what Tommy has perfected for people already in love with cars at shows, charity events or participating in his race team.
